He's the best hitter in baseball for a reason.

At just 32 years old, Miguel Cabrera slugged his 400th career home run over the weekend, putting him 52nd place on Major League Baseball's all-time long-ball list. Nothing like a dead-center field home run... especially one so meaningful. Check it out.

In achieving the feat, Cabrera was compared to Hank Aaron, who had eerily similar numbers at 32.

Another baseball mind pointed out the following tidbit about Cabrera's run production.

Upon seeing Cabrera reach the plateau, we here at Tech Times decided to do a little projecting and number crunching for the slugger's seasons to come. If Cabrera plays until he's 38 and hits at least 25 homers – his final mark during the 2014 season – he'll wind up with a total of 575 career home runs, putting him 11th on the all-time list.

If he generates 192 hits – the average taken between his last two seasons – per year until he's 38, he'll finish with 3,575 career hits for fifth all-time. Of course, these are just projections — but the prospects are downright scary.

Cabrera is already baseball's most-feared hitter, and watching him continue his assault on the record books is pretty special. Until we forecast any more, it's best to let Miggy bask in his latest accomplishment. Detroit Tigers starters Justin Verlander and David Price tweeted their appreciation for Cabrera this weekend. Not only because they're his teammates, but also because they don't ever have to face him.
