The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is now 30 percent off at Best Buy, allowing for significant savings of $100.
Samsung launched its 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab Pro back in February 2014, aiming to offer a premium yet compact Android tablet with good specifications and an affordable price tag.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a WQXGA TFT display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels (359 ppi) and packs a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood, paired with 2GB of RAM.
Other specifications include 16GB of internal storage capacity, microSD support for additional storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front shooter and a 4,800 mAh non-removable battery that should last for up to 11 hours of talk time and 127 hours of music play.
On the software side, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 ships with the older Android 4.4 KitKat, but an update Android 5.x Lollipop should become available soon. Popular software features include multitasking capabilities with the useful Multi Window option.
Connectivity options consist of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, A2DP, LE, GPS with GLONASS, Infrared, microUSB v2.0 (MHL TV-out) and USB Host.
In terms of design, the tablet retains the familiar Samsung button layout and features a faux leather back for a more premium look.
With Best Buy's new offer, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is now available at its lowest price yet. The tablet is currently on sale for $199.99, which is even lower than the refurbished units that retailed last month on Amazon for $210.
Best Buy does not specify whether this 30-percent price cut for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is permanent or just part of a limited-time deal. The retailer is also throwing in free shipping, noting that the product usually ships in one business day. Customers can also pick up the tablet from most stores.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is not the newest or most powerful slate on the market, but with a heavily-discounted price tag, it may appeal to shoppers looking for a cheap high-resolution tablet with decent specifications.
