User manuals for the upcoming Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 reveal the same TouchWiz user interface (UI) as the Galaxy S6.

Samsung has yet to officially announce its new Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, but some intriguing information has just come to light. The company's Chinese arm published the user manuals for both handsets, providing hints of what's ahead.

As spotted by Dutch site GalaxyClub.nl, the user manuals for the Galaxy J5 (SM-J5008) and Galaxy J7 (SM-J7008) are available for download in PDF from Samsung China. The manuals are written in Chinese, but the images speak a universal language. Both the Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will apparently run the same TouchWiz UX as the latest Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge flagships.

Samsung's TouchWiz UI has stirred a mixed response over the years, with some users praising its neat features and functionality while others complained about its slowness and bloatware. Samsung made significant tweaks to the TouchWiz UX for its latest flagships, reducing the bloatware and making everything run smoother.

The Galaxy J1 is the first and only device in the Galaxy J series — and it's one of the most sluggish smartphones in the entire Samsung portfolio. With the new TouchWiz UX gracing the Galaxy S6, however, the new-generation Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 could deliver a far better user experience. Samsung would need to optimize its UI for mid-range hardware, but the benefits could be worth it.

Software features found on the Galaxy S6 are also expected to reach the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7. The upcoming smartphones should include the Smart Manager app that allows users to manage the RAM and storage, along with some other neat features. LTE connectivity is also in the mix for both handsets.

When it comes to specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J5 is expected to sport a 5-inch LCD HD display (1280 x 720 pixels) and pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood, paired with 1.5GB RAM.

Other specs should include 8GB of internal storage capacity, microSD support for additional storage, an 8- or 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, and a 2,600 mAh battery.

The Galaxy J7, meanwhile, will come with a larger 5.5-inch HD display, an octa-core Marvel processor, and a 3,000 mAh battery, but it will otherwise share the same specs as the Galaxy J5. Both handsets should rock Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

No information is currently available regarding when the Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will make their official debut, but the availability of their respective user manuals suggests it will be soon.
