There's a reason why so many people are excited for Batman: Arkham Knight - unfortunately, there are also quite a few things that have gamers worried about the game. Namely, the game's wealth of downloadable content.

While it's common for games to come with downloadable extras for devoted fans, Arkham Knight's gigantic list of DLC offerings is unrivaled. The game hasn't even launched yet, and there's an entire library's worth of extra content and costumes for players to unlock. Between the extra story missions, location-specific preorder bonuses and the sheer number of extra skins, it's starting to feel as if Batman: Arkham Knight could drown under the wave of Day One DLC.

Sadly enough, it doesn't look like that's about to change anytime soon: despite the fact that Rocksteady unveiled two more pieces of DLC just a few days ago, another piece of downloadable content has made its way online. One thing's for certain: the Dark Knight certainly won't be short on outfits...

That's the Flashpoint DLC skin, courtesy of Microsoft. The costume, based off Batman's appearance during the comic book storyline of the same name, is exclusive to those who preorder the game's season pass.

It's definitely a different take on Batman - Flashpoint was focused on an alternate reality where Bruce died, his mother went insane and his father became Batman. As such, it's a bulkier suit, complete with extra armour and pointy shoulder pads. Considering how drastically different some of the other DLC costumes are when compared with their inspirations, the Flashpoint suit is relatively faithful, and likely won't ruffle quite as many feathers as some of the other suits.

It's just another piece of DLC on top of a growing pile - while it's nice to be rewarded for sticking with one console or another, it's not as if every possible variation or purchasing circumstance needs its own piece of DLC.

Let's just hope that the final game is worth playing, with or without Batman's extended wardrobe.

Batman: Arkham Knight is due out on June 23.
