If there was any one thing that the massive Heists update brought to Grand Theft Auto V (aside from the missions themselves) it was a ton of money. Most of the game's online jobs don't offer up all that much in terms of monetary rewards, but the Heists offer up a massive payout for each and every mission. Basically, if you're playing a Heist mission, you'll be getting a fat paycheck.

So, now that the Heists are out and everyone's getting paid, there needs to be something for everyone to spend their money on. That's where the 'Ill-Gotten Gains' update comes in: Rockstar's latest in-game update is all about luxury items, both vehicular and weaponized...just don't expect to get them for cheap.

Rockstar's been relatively quiet on when players would be able to access all of the new content, but the studio's finally revealed when the Ill-Gotten Gains update goes live: fans will be able to download the update and start buying solid-gold jets across all platforms on June 10.

It's important to know that the Ill-Gotten Gains update isn't on the same scale as the Heists: this is much more akin to earlier updates like Beach Bums or the Independence Day Special. It's more about giving players new weapons, vehicles and accessories than introducing entirely new missions.

That being said, the new stuff is definitely worth saving up for: Rockstar is adding in two solid gold aircraft (a helicopter and a luxury jet), along with several new sports cars, a new assault rifle and hundreds of new clothing options. Everything will be available as soon as the update goes live: just navigate to the in-game Internet, and you're set (if you have the cash, that is)!

There's also a Social Club event planned for the following weekend, which will offer up bonus GTA$ and experience - anyone who wants to test out all of the new toys should jump in.

For even more info on the new content, head on over to Rockstar's official site. Grand Theft Auto V's Ill-Gotten Gains update goes live on Wednesday, June 10.
