Marvel Studios has reportedly put a face and name to Baron Mordo in its upcoming Doctor Strange movie.

According to a Deadline exclusive, Chiwetel Ejiofor has been tabbed to play the villain of Doctor Strange in the flick due in theaters November 2016.

If the report holds true, Ejiofor will star opposite of Benedict Cumberbatch, who will be portraying the main role of Dr. Stephen Strange.

Ejiofor is best known for his role in 12 Years A Slave, for which he earned an Oscar nomination. The Doctor Strange storyline has Strange and Mordo coming up under the same mentor, the Ancient One. Except while Stephen Strange heeded his teachings, Mordo tried to kill his teacher.

That's because Mordo was jealous that the Ancient One had tabbed Strange as his eventual successor and not him. Desperate to try to extract magical secrets from the Ancient One, Mordo set plenty of devious traps to trip Strange up.

It will be intriguing to see what Ejiofor and Cumberbatch bring to their respective roles. The movie will tell the story of Stephen Strange, whose career as a renowned surgeon goes awry when he critically injures his hands during an accident.

Strange seeks out the help of the Ancient One, who arms him with sorcerer teachings to fend off evil. That's where Mordo comes in, having also been equipped with powers of black magic.

Let the games begin. Next November is about to get Strange ... real Strange.
