They say good things come to those who wait, and gamers all over the globe have waited patiently for the next step in gaming.

Finally, the much awaited virtual reality headset will soon be hitting the shelves for avid gamers to drool on and save up for. Facebook-owned Oculus VR lately revealed at a San Francisco press conference the consumer version of the Oculus Rift, which will also be playable on the show floor on June 16-18 at the E3 in Los Angeles.

The VR headset comes with an Xbox One controller and a wireless adapter for connecting it to a PC. The Rift will offer native support for Windows 10 making it accessible for using the device with the upcoming operating system. Oculus Rift owners will also be able to stream Xbox One games through a PC to the headset.

The Rift will include accessories like wireless hand controllers that resemble bracelets. These controllers enable users to use their hands to interact with games. A gamer can experience pulling a trigger on a virtual gun or using communicative signals with other players, making the gaming experience more interactive and relational.

The Oculus Rift will be available for release in the first quarter of 2016. While all of us wait with abated breath, check out the list of games you can start dreaming of playing using your own Oculus Rift.
