PlayStation Vue just keeps getting bigger and better, expanding its rapidly-growing platform and crossing over into new territory.

During Sony's press conference at E3 on Monday night, it was announced that PlayStation Vue will be launching in San Francisco and Los Angeles by the night's end. That's in addition to the streaming and live television service already being offered in big cities such as New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.

In addition, and perhaps more impressively, Vue will now allow users to subscribe to channels a la carte nationwide without the purchase of a multi-channel plan. That's convenient. Vue's initial a la carte service will begin with Showtime, Fox Soccer Plus and a new Machinima channel. PlayStation Plus members will also be able to subscribe at discount rates.

Bet some other tech giants are kicking themselves for not offering the a la carte channel subscriptions on their streaming and live television service sooner, huh? Yup...Sony beat them to the punch and now they have to live with it. A la carte!
