Wimbledon is getting a big power boost from IBM.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the tech company has designed a new website for the celebrated tennis tournament at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London, beginning June 29, and it's packed with powerful data. The new website will calculate predictive analytics and also post real-time stats and analysis via its Slamtracker. The Slamtracker dashboard will also give viewers serve speed miles per hour in real-time.

"For the first time we are helping [Wimbledon staff] by notifying anything of interest, such as the fastest ball ever served," Sam Seddon, IBM's liaison at Wimbledon, told the Wall Street Journal.

The website has also compiled pages upon pages of historic head-to-head matchup data dating back to 1877.

The multipronged digital strategy will also have Wimbledon staff posting IBM data and intriguing analysis about the tennis matches live on social media in an attempt to give digital viewers an experience as if they were in London themselves.

"We tried to raise the bar to create a digital platform for all those who can't come to the ground," Alex Willis, the head of digital and content at The All England Lawn Tennis Club, told the Journal.

Sounds like mission accomplished. Match point.

According to Willis, Wimbledon's website tallied 17 million unique visitors during the tournament's two weeks last year. Let's see if they could rewrite that mark for the 2015 tournament, beginning June 29.
