AT&T is now officially selling the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL, and the Windows Phone phablet costs just $0.99 on a two-year contract.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL made its official debut earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, launching as a mid-range phablet with Windows Phone 8.1 on board. Nevertheless, the phablet is set to receive an upgrade the latest Windows 10 once the new OS rolls out.

In terms of specifications, the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL sports a 5.7-inch display with an HD resolution (1280 by 720 pixels) and packs a 1.2-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood, coupled with 1GB of RAM.

Other hardware specs include 8GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot for up to 128GB of additional memory, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front cam, and a 3,000 mAh battery. If the internal storage capacity and the microSD support are not enough, the phablet also comes with 30GB of free OneDrive cloud storage space. More specifically, users will get 15GB for free upon signing up for OneDrive, and another 15GB when they choose to automatically back up all of their photos with OneDrive. At the same time, accessing OneDrive requires a Microsoft account.

Considering that it comes with Windows Phone 8.1 on board out of the box, the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL also boasts all of the neat features the OS has to offer, including Live Tiles and the much-touted Cortana digital assistant. As expected, a host of pre-loaded software features such as Microsoft Office, Skype and others are also in the mix, courtesy of Microsoft.

AT&T is now selling the Lumia 640 XL on several pricing options. The phablet costs just $0.99 when agreeing to sign a two-year contract with the carrier, but is also available for $249.99 outright, contract free. Customers who prefer monthly installments, meanwhile, can get the Microsoft Lumia for $0 down with an AT&T Next plan, followed by $8.34 per month for 30 months with Next 24, $10.42 per month for 24 months with Next 18, and $12.50 per month for 20 months with Next 12.
