Like many British celebs, Kit Harington spent last Thursday attending one of the country's favorite sporting events: Wimbledon. He was photographed sitting with his brother Jack, watching the game between Sabine Lisicki and Christina McHale.

What made this particular celebrity sighting so significant was the fact that Harington was still sporting his long, dark luscious curls.

Perhaps he likes running his fingers through his long locks the way his many adoring female fans would no doubt also like to, but the existence of his uncut hair can only mean one thing to many Game of Thrones fans: Jon Snow is not dead!

Or at least it gives fans more hope to hold on to that the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch will somehow make a return in some incarnation in season 6.

Some fans have launched a petition for Harington to cut his hair. The reasoning behind it is that if he cuts his hair, then he is finally and unequivocally confirming to the hundreds of GOT fans around the world that his character will indeed no longer return for another season.

Under his contract with the HBO show, he cannot cut his hair for as long as he plays Jon Snow.

When he sported a trimmed 'do at the London premiere of the film Testament of Youth back in January (when filming for season 5 had wrapped up), fans initially did not think anything of it. When, however, his final shot in the season finale of the show placed him on the ground, bloody and with a blank stare, fans were heartbroken. If Jon Snow was killed and Harington cut his hair in real life, then he must have been really dead.

Now, Harington's Wimbledon look reawakened fans' hopes that the actor has renewed his contract to live on in Game of Thrones.

Say it with me now: Kit Harington with long hair at Wimbledon = Jon Snow is alive!!!
