CD Projekt Red has slowly but surely been improving the already stellar Witcher 3: Wild Hunt since its release in May with a number of free patches and pieces of DLC. We don't know all what will be coming in the soon to be released Patch 1.07, but CD Projekt Red has gone ahead and detailed what the biggest changes will be.

Most of improvements in the upcoming patch revolve around inventory management. In an RPG, where loot and crafting components are plentiful, managing all your various items is key. That's why the game will be getting a player stash in the new patch. Stashes will be sprinkled throughout the game world and will allow players to store items for a rainy day.

Item hoarders are no doubt cheering with joy at that news, and pack rats will be equally excited about another big change to the game's inventory system; crafting and alchemy components no longer add to overall inventory weight. Now you can carry even more swords and pieces of armor without having to worry about all those flowers and ores weighting you down.

Books will now have their own inventory tab as well, and players can now sort their inventory with a number of different sorting options.

While most of the changes revolve around the game's inventory, there are a number of other improvements as well. Bug fixes are various quests are included, as is the ability to "pin" crafting recipes so that you will be able to see what components you need when shopping. Last but not least, improvements are coming to Geralt's trusty stead Roach. Geralt's horse sometimes gets confused when it is called, so some fixes to the game's primary means of transportation are more than welcome.

The Witcher 3's current inventory system definitely leaves something to be desired, so it's nice to see CD Projekt Red taking fan feedback to heart. The developer will have the full patch notes available later this week. As the team is focusing on getting this major patch ready to go, no free DLC will be released this week, but will resume next week as usual.
