Women come in all shapes and sizes and this means shopping isn't always easy. A woman in Old Navy shared a selfie after a shopping trip made quite an impression on her.

Gearing up for Fourth of July celebrations, Rachel Taylor was out shopping at Old Navy. While browsing through some clothes, she found herself between a teenage girl and her mother. The girl took a plus-size tank top and showed it to her mother, saying that she and a friend can fit in it. The girl's mother laughed, agreeing with what her daughter said given the tank top's size.

Being plus-sized, Taylor felt awful about the conversation. She was so upset that she started crying and had to be walked out of the store by her husband. She sat in their car for a while but went back to Old Navy eventually to finish her shopping.

Ironically, she actually ended up buying the tank top in question that made her so upset because, after trying it out, it turned out to look good on her. In fact, she described herself as looking fierce in it.

To make a point about the events of the day, Taylor posted a selfie of her wearing the tank top on her personal Facebook account and that of Old Navy's.

"Old Navy, thank you for having adorable clothes for all shapes & sizes. I'd like to tell you the story behind this tank top and why I'll be rocking it tomorrow for July 4th," she wrote in a post to the store's timeline.

Old Navy responded by giving Taylor a gift card, calling her amazing and wishing to celebrate her fierce style.

But although Taylor's post on Old Navy's Facebook page already has more than 265,000 likes, not everyone was on her side. While many of the comments praised her for doing what she wanted in the end, a lot also said she was being overly sensitive.

Taylor countered by commenting that posting a picture on social media is not an invitation to be judged, ridiculed or criticized.

"What does that accomplish other than making yourself look like a fool," she added.

She did say in her post that "if someone hurts you, you have to move on" and it looks like she's taking her own advice.
