The second Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer has been officially rated and will reportedly run for 2:24, according to Alberta Film Ratings.

The trailer itself may debut at the Warner Bros. Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Com, which is set for 10:30 a.m. PT. It may also get an online debut in the near future.

The movie itself will show the world attempting to figure out what having a superhero really means, and what a superhero with such great strength could do to the world. As Batman faces off against Superman and his god-like powers, another threat to the world rises up, putting humankind in real danger.

With Henry Cavill starring as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman, the film will also pull in a number of other heroes from the DC comic universe, including Wonder Woman, portrayed by Gal Godot, Lex Luthor, portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg and Batman's butler Alfred, portrayed by Jeremy Irons. Apart from that, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will all return from Man of Steel. Jason Momoa will also appear as Aquaman, although it is unclear how long for.

The first trailer for the film was a marketing success, generating a ton of buzz about the film almost a year before its launch.

Zack Snyder will return to the film as director, with Chris Terrio writing the movie and David S. Goyer in charge of screenplay. It has a release date of March 25, 2016.

Of course, the trailer isn't the only Batman v Superman news to come out of Comic-Con San Diego this year. In addition to the stars of the film making an appearance, a number of the props also showed up. Most recognizably, Batman's Batarangs, as well as an item that looks very similar to Batman's explosive gel that he uses to blast through things like walls, made an appearance. We also got a better look at Batman's costume, including the headgear that will feature in his tech suit.

Batman v Superman is only the next film in a long lineup of DC movies, all of which connect. After Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad will also be released in 2016, following a set of anti-heroes. One of them includes the new Joker, portrayed by Jared Leto. His performance will be highly scrutinized given the fact that it's the first onscreen appearance of the Joker since Heath Ledger's classic portrayal in the 2008 film The Dark Knight.
