The Batman Arkham Knight Batgirl DLC was supposed to debut this week for PC, but the nasty issues with the main game's PC port are delaying the release.

We have seen quite a lot of bad PC ports, with various games experiencing a slew of issues with their PC versions. Batman: Arkham Knight is no exception, and the PC release has stirred a firestorm of criticism from users who deemed the game unplayable.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment took to the game's Steam page to address the issue and ensure gamers that it's working on patching things up.

"We have heard the PC gaming community outcry of disappointment for the initial launch of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. Again, we would like to apologize to you, the fans, and let you know that we are taking full responsibility for releasing a product that did not meet our quality standards, which is why we suspended sales of the game as soon as we understood the issues," explains the announcement.

The post further highlights that the company is working closely with Rocksteady Studios, the game's creator, as well as its partners to fix the PC version as soon as possible. Only after the PC version gets a full update and meets "a superior quality bar" will it go back on sale.

The Batgirl DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight is launching this week as an add-on for Xbox One and PS4, but the PC version will be delayed until the PC version of the main game is updated, available and playable.

The issues of the Batman: Arkham Knight PC port have affected all DLC content development, and Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC will no longer launch on July 14 as originally planned for PC.

No timeframe is currently available for when Batman: Arkham Knight will go back on sale, nor for when the Batgirl DLC will become available for PC, but it shouldn't take too long.

More details on the status of the Batman: Arkham Knight PC version will become available next week, and we'll keep you up to date as soon as the publisher reveals more. In the meantime, check out the trailer video below.
