Sprint has released a minor update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, with the changelogs for the said updates being very vague on what they will exactly do to the two flagship smartphones of Samsung.

According to Sprint, the software updates will be rolled out in stages, and as such it could take several days before users receive the over-the-air update in their smartphones.

However, once users receive a notification that the update is already available for their device, they should follow the onscreen instructions to be able to properly complete the update's installation into their Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge.

The version number for the Galaxy S6 is G920PVPU2BOFE, while the version number for the Galaxy S6 Edge is G925PVPU2BOFE.

The changelogs for the software updates to the two smartphones indicate that installing it will carry out various bug fixes and enhancements, but Sprint does not go into more detail on what bugs are being fixed and on what components the enhancements will be applied to.

The update has a size of about 147MB, so users are recommended to free up enough space in their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices to be able to download and install the minor update.

There have been some reports that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have suffered from some lagging issues since Sprint pushed out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update to the two smartphones. Hopefully, the contents of the update would address such issues for Sprint users of the two devices.
