Every year, players take issue with their Madden ratings. This year wasn't any exception, as many rookies have already sounded off about their ratings in Madden NFL 16.

But when the Seattle Seahawks tried to get cute in tweeting the official Madden Twitter account about what running back Marshawn Lynch has to do to get a 99 trucking rating (ability to run over defenders), Madden fired back with pure ether.

Madden tweeted the scathing response, "one more of these probably could've helped," offering a screenshot of goal-line rushing plays that can be used in the video game. The goal-line running plays are a direct reference and mockery of Seahawks coach Pete Carroll's Super Bowl XLIX decision to throw on a 2nd-and-goal possession on the one-yard line with under 30 seconds remaining — resulting in a game-ending interception and Seattle loss to the New England Patriots.

Everyone knows the play call should have been handing the ball off to Lynch and letting him run it. We mean... they don't call him Beastmode for nothing. Madden's social media dig at the Seahawks even caught the eye of ESPN's Sportscenter account.

And that's how you silence a Twitter troll. The Seahawks and especially Carroll will never live that decision down... and they shouldn't be able to. It's only the worst play call in Super Bowl history.

Lynch would have got the 99 trucking rating, had the Seahawks ran the ball. Then again, the Seahawks also would have been back-to-back Super Bowl champs, had they let Lynch run the ball.
