The launch of Windows 10 is drawing nearer, and its development team continues to release closer looks at the much-anticipated operating system.

Through the official Windows blog, the Windows team discussed the multitasking features that users can expect on the Windows 10.

"Our lives are busier than ever requiring us to juggle more tasks, both big and small. Wouldn't it be great if our devices could help make accomplishing our tasks simpler?," the Windows team wrote, adding that certain features in the upcoming operating system will look to make it easier for users to accomplish several tasks at once.

Screen organization

The first feature that is discussed in the blog post is a screen organization feature for Windows 10. With users often having several apps open all at once, screen organization is made easier with enhancements in the Snap feature. Users can now quickly snap a maximum of four things on the screen all at once by dragging the apps into the screen's corners. Windows 10 will also be suggesting the best way to fill gaps with other apps open at the time.

Desktop control

Users can find themselves overwhelmed by the massive amount of content being run on their computers. The task view feature of Windows 10 will provide the users with a simple method of seeing open files, documents and apps in a single view for better management of what the computer is running. If the user's screen is starting to get crowded, the user can also choose to make a virtual desktop for more space, and will allow the user to work only on the items that they need.

Notification management

Users can also find themselves overwhelmed by the notifications that they receive, especially if they come from several devices. With the Action Center of Windows 10, the notifications and certain settings are all accessible in one place so that users can take action and manage notifications without having to open certain apps. Things that users can do on the Action Center include replying to a received email or adjusting the brightness of the screen.

The Windows Team is looking to make multitasking much easier for users on Windows 10 with these features, with the blog to continue looking at other aspects of Windows 10.
