While it's clear that the player vs. player modes will be Rainbow Six Siege's main focus, the series just wouldn't be the same without Terrorist Hunt. Debuting in 2008's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, the co-operative mode tasks teams of players with hunting down a set number of AI-controlled terrorists, usually within a set time limit. It quickly became Vegas 2's most popular mode, and fans everywhere were excited to hear that Ubisoft is bringing "Terrorist Hunt" back for Rainbow Six Siege.

Of course, it wouldn't make sense for Ubisoft to bring Terrorist Hunt back if it wasn't making some improvements. While the original mode felt more like clearing an arena of enemy bots, this latest version is far more fleshed out: new objectives, different enemy types and more complex level design should change the basic flow of how Terrorist Hunt plays.

Then again, if you've never played Terrorist Hunt (or forgot what it was like after seven years of waiting for a new game), Ubisoft's got you covered. The studio just released a lengthy interactive gameplay demo: not only can you watch a full round of Terrorist Hunt, there are plenty of smaller, behind-the-scenes details to catch up on:

Truth be told, the interactive bits are relatively simple — if you've been following the game throughout the past few months, there's a good chance that you've seen everything the "interactive" portions have to offer.

Even so, the updated version of Terrorist Hunt is definitely worth checking out: this is far removed from the stiff, slow gameplay of the original Vegas 2 mode. Everything new to Rainbow Six Siege – the destruction, the different classes, the level design – is perfectly represented throughout the trailer. Yes, it's definitely different... but so far, this new Terrorist Hunt is looking pretty fantastic.

If you're itching to get your hands on Rainbow Six Siege, a closed beta will be held later this year... though trying to get a code might be a bit of a challenge. Otherwise, Rainbow Six Siege is due out on October 13.
