Back in June, Uncharted fans got a nice surprise when game developer Naughty Dog announced the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which features a bundle of all three Uncharted games for PlayStation 4.

The collection comes just before the release of next year's installment in the game franchise, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. The collection features all three of the previously-released Uncharted games, remastered for the PlayStation 4 with improved gameplay features. Preorders of the collection also score gamers new skins and weapons, with a preorder of the digital download including a Nathan Drake PlayStation 4 theme.

Today, though, Naughty Dog also announced that the collection is also getting its own limited edition that features even more goodies. The Special Edition of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection includes all the above plus a 48-page artbook, a steelbook and stickers.

However, so far, Naughty Dog only announced this special edition For Europe, Australia and New Zealand, but it's expected to get a release in other countries, specifically the U.S., as well.

Considering that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End got delayed from this year to next, the collectors editions are a nice perk for fans of the series to placate them until the new title gets released.

"Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, more of the game and story have come together, and it's become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned," wrote Naughty Dog's Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann back in March. "After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don't take lightly — this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for."

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection releases on October 9. Uncharted: A Thief's End releases sometime next year.
