Ever since Comic-Con 2015 came to a close, fans have been desperately waiting for anything new out of Deadpool. Yes, footage from the panel itself leaked online almost immediately, but with such shaky camera work and terrible quality, it's easy to see why most fans are perfectly fine with waiting for the official footage to hit the web.

So, is there actually any way of knowing exactly when the new Deadpool trailer will be released? As it turns out, yes - a new trailer for the Deadpool trailer made its way onto YouTube earlier today.

Wait ... what?

Yes, it's true: Fox just released a trailer for a trailer. More specifically, 20th Century Fox has released a short teaser trailer starring Deadpool that's dedicated to informing eager fans that an official full-length Deadpool trailer will be released online in the very near future:

Perhaps a trailer for the Deadpool trailer is something that fans should have seen coming. This is Deadpool, after all: just releasing a trailer on its own isn't any fun, but releasing a trailer for a trailer and teasing fans with more waiting is just perfect!

Thankfully, the wait for the new trailer isn't exactly long – if all things go according to plan, the next trailer will be making its way online sometime tomorrow. That, or Fox is just preparing to troll everyone a second time. They did just release a trailer for a trailer – who's to say that tomorrow's trailer won't just be a trailer for another trailer? Though, that would make today's trailer a trailer for a trailer for a trailer....

One way or another, a new Deadpool trailer is set to launch sometime tomorrow – and it'll be an actual trailer this time. The film itself, on the other hand, is a bit farther off: Deapool hits theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
