Samsung is expected to announce a new Galaxy Tab S series, which will feature high-end AMOLED displays and more on June 12. A retailer has listed the price of both the 8.4 and 10.5-inch tablets.

On June 12 Samsung is holding a Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 'Tab Into Color' event where the company is widely expected to unveil a new high-end Galaxy Tab S Series. We reently reported on the slates, which are believed to adopt 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600 AMOLED displays. The high resolution and use of an AMOLED display, which are typically found on high-end smartphones, will add to the cost of the tablets when they go on sale.

A Finnish retailer has listed the price of both tablets in its database; the 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab S Wi-Fi will reportedly retail for €449.90, while the LTE variant will reportedly cost €563.90. The listing for the Galaxy Tab S 10.1 Wi-Fi is €563.90 and the LTE variant shows up at €619. Don't put too much stock into these prices, as TheDroidGuy points out; there are differences between variants and their reported June 5 ship date.

When it comes to the specs of both tablets, we're looking at 10.5-inch and 8.4-inch Super AMOLED displays with a very high resolution of 2560 x 1600. The tablets will reportedly be powered by Samsung's octa-core Exynos 5420 processor, which uses four 1.9GHz Cortex-A-15-cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores, so expect a very snappy user experience. The Galaxy Tab S is expected to use an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front facing camera for video chat and selfies.

In terms of wireless connectivity, the tablets will be offered in Wi-Fi and LTE models, which will also include Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy) with A2DP, GPS, and an IR blaster that will allow the tablet to act as a universal remote control in tandem with Samsung's WatchOn service. The slates will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat and use Samsung's new Magazine UX instead of TouchWiz. Just as Samsung's flagship Galaxy S5 gained a fingerprint scanner, its new flagship tablets are expected to gain the same feature.

We should expect to hear all the official details on June 12 and we'll be sure to update you as more information becomes available.
