We all know we are supposed to drink water throughout the day. However, nothing's worse than being thirsty and realizing the water in your water bottle is suddenly lukewarm.

There are currently a few water bottle options on the market that will make sure you get your daily intake of H2O, but now, Thermos has entered the scene with a smart water bottle that will also tell you when your water turns warm.

Known for its hot beverage thermoses, the company partnered up with training, nutrition and physical therapy EXOS to create The Smart Lid Hydration Bottle.

The bottle connects to a smartphone app available for iOS, which allows users to track their daily water consumption.

The app asks users to enter their age, weight, frequency of activity and overall activity intensity and duration to provide a customized hydration goal. The dashboard on the app displays how close users are from meeting their goal, and they can also set alerts to remind them to drink up to reach their individual goals.

To provide the data, the bottle uses its capacity-sensing tube attached to the lid to measure how empty or full the bottle is. It also can tell you the temperature of the water, letting the consumer know it's no longer cold.

The BPA-free bottle runs on a lithium-ion battery that is rechargeable via USB and lasts for 12 days.

Genuine Thermos Brand revealed its Smart Lid Hydration Bottle at the 2015 International Home and Housewares Show in March, and will showcase the device at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Utah this week. Hitting the shelves this fall, the Smart Lid Hydration Bottle will retail for $59.99.
