Chinese telecommunications company Huawei launched it's latest smartphone that is equipped with a 180-degree rotating camera, making it the first of its kind.

The Huawei Honor 7i smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear-facing hinged camera that can be flipped to face the front. And while 13 MP isn't that great for a real camera, it's a higher resolution than the average smartphone's front-facing camera, making it perfect for the selfie-obsessed.

In comparison, Apple's iPhone 6 has a 1.2 MP front-facing camera, and Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge has a 5 MP front-facing camera.

The camera in the Honor 7i has a Sony Exmor sensor with f/2.0 aperture and flash integrated, so that when the user rotates it to snap a selfie, it will capture their image with the perfect lighting.

The Huawei Honor 7i has a 5.2-inch display, with 1080p resolution, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 616 processor, and has 2 GB of RAM with a microSDVX memory slot for up to 32 GB of internal storage.

The smartphone runs on Huawei EMUI 3.1, the operating system that is based on Android Lollipop 5.1, and has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS capabilities. The Honor 7i has a 3,090 mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor that is located on the side of the device.

The Huawei Honor 7i will retail for $250 in China, but the international version could cost somewhere between $300 and $400.

Huawei previously launched its Honor 7 smartphone globally online last month, but it cannot be used in North America since it supports LTE band 1 and band 3, although the Honor 7 is compatible on LTE networks in some Asian and European countries. The device has been made available via the online retailer OppoMart, with the 16 GB version costing $429.
