Think football players are the only ones who take issue with their ratings in Madden NFL 16 and past titles of the popular video game series? Think again.

Basketball players take the numbers attached to their names pretty seriously as well. Case in point: Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas seemed to be slightly irked upon learning his player rating in the highly anticipated NBA 2K16.

Yes, Thomas used an LOL and a j/k, but let's just say that there's plenty of truth in jest and he genuinely thinks his rating should be higher. Averaging 16.4 points per game as an instant source of offense off the bench for the Celtics last season and 19 points per contest in the playoffs, Tech Times can't say that we necessarily disagree with Thomas. His rating could have easily been pushed into the mid 80s.

Although Kevin Durant didn't directly complain or take issue with his player rating, he did post a screen shot of himself from NBA 2K16.

Coming off foot injuries that limited his 2014-15 season to 27 games, KD has already said this offseason that he thinks he's the best NBA player. As crazy as it sounds, Durant – the 2014 NBA MVP – might actually think that his 91 player rating is a tad bit low. Or at least not as high as LeBron James's apparent 94 rating, as this screen shot appears to leak.

The best part of the ratings is that players can make 2K raise the bar with their on-court play this season.

NBA 2K16 is scheduled for a September 29 release.
