Technology allows us to be more productive on-the-go or at a job site, using our phablets and tablets to edit papers, take notes, highlight something important, and sketch — all while using a stylus. But depending on the kind you purchase, the digital pen might only work when connected to Bluetooth. Then, of course, there are the pens that can work without Bluetooth technology — but their rubber tips often don't give precise results.

Now, consumers can get the best of both worlds, thanks to the latest stylus unveiled by Adonit.

Adonit's new Jot Dash is a touchscreen stylus that's Bluetooth-free, so consumers can quickly jot down a note or make a small addition to a sketch without having to first connect to their device.

The Jot Dash powers on when the user clicks the button on top of the pen. It uses the company's PixelPoint technology, which detects a signal from the device and rebroadcasts it so the pen can accurately work without a large tip. In fact, the Jot Dash has a 1.9 mm point that creates a more natural stroke, mirroring the ability of a real pen. It is also equipped with precision tracking and strong antennas to create accurate lines.

The stylus is compatible with all iOS and Android touchscreen devices; however, it won't work with Windows. It has a battery life of 14 hours with continual use, and can be recharged when powered off in just 45 minutes.

Adonit's Jot Sash retails for $49.99 and will ship in one to two weeks. See the stylus in action in the video below.
