The Punisher – the gun-toting, trench coat-wearing anti-hero – is coming to Daredevil Season 2. Considering how great the first season of the Netflix exclusive show was, there is plenty of reason to get excited about the character's upcoming appearance.

In case you weren't aware of what the Punisher is all about, actor Jon Bernthal's recent selfie makes it abundantly clear. The Punisher likes guns, and he likes to use those guns to punish bad guys. With bullets.

He likes guns of all types. Assault rifles. Submachine guns. Pistols. Sniper rifles. He likes gun accesories too, like silencers, sights and extended magazines.

So there you have it, no surprise here: the Punisher in Daredevil Season 2 will have a wall of guns. Perhaps what's more interesting is the similarity the selfie bears to an iconic Punisher comic cover by Tim Bradstreet.

The comic cover is staged so that it looks as if the Punisher is posing for a photo. This particular comic released back in 2004, before the invention of the selfie — but it's impossible not to notice similarities between the two images. Maybe Bernthal has been reading up on his Punisher source material?

Let's just hope the Punisher doesn't take selfies on the show itself. That might be a tad out of character.
