When arcade gaming enthusiast and network engineer, Jon Camberis, heard people say that "Less is more," it took it as a personal challenge.

"Everything is getting smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller. I'm bringing big back," he affirms. Keeping to his word, he built an arcade machine so tall it makes an African elephant look tiny. Camberis took his technical skillset, mixed a lifetime of passion and created the largest and heaviest arcade machine in the world.

It is 14.46 feet in height and 3.47 feet in depth, making it a 2.75:1 replica of regular arcade stations. Is it 2.75 times more fun to play, as well? With over 200 games, including classic title such as PacMan and Dragon Spirit, the device is engaging and fearsome at the same time. The engineer claims that the device is compatible with PC and a number of consoles, which makes things even more exciting. People use stairs to get in place for a comfortable gaming session, while the giant joysticks, buttons and the mesmerizing 16-inch glass track ball make it a truly epic experience. To keep things to scale, giant quarters are required to fire up the machine.

It took the Chicago resident almost two years to complete the gaming behemoth that earned an entry in the Guiness Book of Records 2016 for Largest Arcade Machine.

More gaming-related achievements made it into this year's edition of the record book. Now, there is an extended section of records dedicated to Minecraft events. A dedicated user constructed the largest spaceship in the game and it is made of 5 million blocks. Kurt J. Mac is the record keeper for in-game travelling, after spending a staggering four year in an attempt to find the Far Lands.

The best paid professional computer gamer in the world, Kat Gunn, qualified for an entry with a bank account of over $115,000.

It is hard to say what drives people to spend that much time playing video games, but Jon Camberis has a very powerful motivation for developing arcade systems.

"I wanted to bring joy and happiness to people, and my arcade machine certainly makes people smile. My wife wonders what I will do next but I already have a plan!" he explains.
