The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini has been benchmarked using Antutu and CPU-Z. The mini smartphone has also been photographed next to its full-sized Galaxy S5 counterpart.

Samsung will continue its tradition of releasing variations of existing devices in its mobile lineup when it takes the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 12. The company is set to introduce two new Galaxy tablets that will feature high-quality and high-resolution Super AMOLED displays. The Galaxy Tab S will available in both 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch models and is designed to compete with Apple's iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display.

We've already told you about some of the features of the Galaxy Tab S, as well as some of Samsung's other unannounced devices like the QHD-equipped Galaxy F / Galaxy S5 Prime. The company is also readying a new Galaxy S5 variant with the smaller Galaxy S5 Mini.

SamMobile received screenshots of  the Galaxy S5 Mini's Antutu and CPU-Z benchmarks, which confirm the smartphone's specs. The site also published images of the Galaxy S5 Mini next to the Galaxy S5 to give us an idea of how the mini smartphone compares to its larger sibling.

The Antutu and CPU-Z benchmarks list a model number of SM-G800F and confirm that the Galaxy S5 Mini will feature a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display made out of Gorilla Glass 3, that it will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 3 Quad chip with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz, and 1.5 GB of RAM. The handset will ship with 16 GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128-GB microSD cards.

The Galaxy S5 Mini's camera capabilities include an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, with both capable of recording 1080p Full HD video. The smartphone is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat and the latest version of Samsung's TouchWiz UX.

The site was also able to confirm from its sources that the Galaxy S5 Mini will be IP67 certified, just like the Galaxy S5. This will allow the smartphone to be both waterproof and dust-resistant.

The images show the Galaxy S5 Mini next to the Galaxy S5 where it shows that it retains the same exact design, embedded fingerprint scanner in its home button, and heart rate sensor below its rear camera.

There's no word on when we'll see an official launch, but rest assured that we'll keep you posted.
