Last week, Ronda Rousey spoke candidly about her plans to not fight into her thirties, eyeing retirement around the corner. Becoming an action-movie star doesn't seem like too bad of a backup plan, though.

According to Variety, MGM is moving forward with its remake of the 1980s action film, Road House, and the UFC women's bantamweight champion is expected to star in it.

The original 1989 movie had Patrick Swayze playing a bouncer hired to clean up one of the most obnoxious bars in Missouri, The Double Deuce. Well, it seems like Rousey is up to the same task, as production on the remake movie is set to begin next year.

Variety also reports that Rousey, 29, cleared the idea of starring in a remake after getting her blessing from Swayze's widow, Lisa Niemi, who was reportedly glad to give the green light.

Rousey is building quite the acting portfolio, considering she's starring in her biopic, My Fight/Your Fight, The Athena Project and Mile 22. Director Peter Berg will start production on Mile 22 in February. Rousey has also already appeared in Furious 7 and Entourage, as well as last year's The Expendables 3.

The Road House remake calls for action, which the MMA (mixed martial arts) phenom shouldn't have any problem with at all.

While she lines up project after project on the big screen, Rousey is also busy training for her next fight, against Holly Holm, on November 15.
