As expected, Apple unveiled its highly anticipated new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus during its Special Event Wednesday. In addition to the new 3D Touch feature introduced with these new smartphones, Apple revealed that they would also come with the new A9 chip.

The A9 chip is a third-generation 64-bit chip that comes with "new transistor architecture" and is "optimized for real-world use," according to Apple. It is also 70 percent faster than the previous A8 chip included in iPhones and allows your smartphone to reach "console class" with 90 percent faster graphics. It's "the most advanced chip ever in a smartphone," according to Apple.

Representatives from Pixel Toys arrived onstage to show just how vivid the A9 chip makes iPhone graphics by demonstrating its upcoming, gut-busting Warhammer Freeblade release.

Finally, if you're on the more active side, you'll probably appreciate that the A9 chip comes with an M9 motion co-processor built into it. The M9 motion co-processor is always on to better help keep track of your health and fitness data.

The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will start at a retail price of $199 and $299, respectively, and will be available starting Sept. 25.
