With so many new shows premiering this fall, it's hard to figure out what to add to your TV viewing schedule and what to pass.

Here are just some of the new series and mini-series that are set to air beginning this month. Whether its drama, musical comedy, historical period pieces, or 80's crime busting, there are more than a couple of shows worth tuning into.

Fear The Walking Dead

Already ahead of the pack, Fear the Walking Dead premiered on AMC setting itself apart from its parent show, The Walking Dead. The new series begins a few weeks before the zombie apocalypse began so viewers get to see how the whole world turned upside down when the dead started coming back to life.

Blood and Oil

Set to premiere on ABC on Sept. 27, this new series will star Don Johnson as an oil tycoon looming over the lives and marriage of a young couple who want to get in on their own share of the oil fortune.

Quantico

Also scheduled to premiere on the 27th, the show will follow some young FBI recruits who tell their story through a series of flashbacks to reveal their very different reasons for singing up at Quantico. The mystery that runs behind the show however is the kicker – one of them happens to be responsible for one of the biggest terrorist attacks on U.S. soil since 9/11.

Flesh and Bone

The Starz network has been doing all it can to push the boundaries of TV and this new show is no exception. Flesh and Bone is an eight-part drama about the world of professional ballet, written and produced by Moira Walley-Beckett of Breaking Bad.

Into the Badlands

AMC's new Martial Arts drama is a six-part mini-series that is definitely no Karate Kid. The series will follow a young man, Sunny, played by Daniel Wu, as he embarks on a spiritual journey through the Badlands where he will test his warrior skills in a dangerous place where only the strongest and most brutal hold power.

Minority Report

Inspired by the Tom Cruise flick on the same name, Minority Report is a futuristic crime series set 15 years after the events of the movie. A pre-cog (a psychic who can predict homicides before they happen) must keep his abilities a secret while helping a detective stop the killings in his visions.

Life in Pieces

This new comedy shows the life of a multi-generational household through the eyes of each of its members.

Blindspot

Jaime Alexander stars in this new NBC show from the same creators as Arrow and The Flash. Alexander's character finds herself naked in the middle of Times Square covered in tattoos with no recollection of how she got there, and who put all the skin ink on her. She is aided by an FBI agent who uses her tattoos to find clues about her as well as a bigger conspiracy surrounding them all.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

The CW brings a new musical comedy series this fall about a young woman who gives up her lucrative job as a partner in a Manhattan law firm to move to California in order to win back her ex-boyfriend. And the title does more than just imply, she may be crazy.

Supergirl

Superman's younger cousin, Kara, finds herself donning the red cape and saving the day while keeping her Devil-Wears-Prada-like boss, played by Calista Flockhart, at bay.

Childhood's End

Syfy presents this series adapted from Arthur C. Clarke's novel of the same name about a supposedly peaceful alien invasion with promises of the elimination of poverty, hunger, war, and all other woes that plague humanity. However, not all is as it seems with the alien conquerors.

The Expanse

Also from Syfy, James S.A. Corey's book series is adapted for the small screen in a world where humanity has colonized the entire solar system.

Public Morals

Steven Spielberg executive produces this police drama set in the 1960's which was written, directed by, and stars Edward Burns. Crooked cops roam the streets of New York City while Burns' character is the only one who seems to want to clean up their act.

The Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris

As the successful host of the Tony Awards and Oscar Awards, it comes as no surprise that audiences would want to see Neil Patrick Harries on screen every week singing and dancing with a slew of musical guests.

The Bastard Executioner

This period piece on FX is set during the bloody reign of King Edward I. A knight must put down his sword and take on the axe of an executioner instead.

Scream Queens

It seems that everything that comes out of Ryan Murphy's head and onto paper just shouts success, and Scream Queens seems to be no different. This horror-comedy series is set on a college campus where the new dean tells a snooty sorority that all new potential sisters must be accepted into their pledging process. In addition, a serial killer is on the loose killing one character in each episode.

The Muppets

The Muppets are back and they're already causing a ruckus! Early reports about the show revealed that long-time couple Kermit and Miss Piggy have broken up and a new potential love interest has been teased. It's sure to be a more adult version of the zany Muppets many of us grew up with that a new generation of kids will still enjoy,

Limitless

Based on the movie of the same name, the drug that gave Bradley Cooper's character the ability to unlock the full potential of his brain is given to the protagonist of this new series.

The Grinder

TV alums Rob Lowe and Fred Savage return to the small screen in this comedy about an actor (Lowe) who starred as a lawyer in a once popular television drama who returns to his small town home to open an actual law practice with his brother (Savage) despite the only thing he knows about law being what he memorized from scripts.

Wicked City

The 80's are back in ABC's Wicked City where an LA detective is on the hunt for serial killer couple played by Ed Westwick and Erika Christensen.

Heroes: Reborn

Back from hiding, the Heroes return to save the world once more with many of the actors from the original series returning to reprise their roles.

The Player

Philip Winchester and none other than Wesley Snipes star in this sure to be action-packed show set in Las Vegas.

The Last Kingdom

BBC America seems to want to try to rival HBO's Game of Thrones with this mini-series that mixes true events with historical fiction to tell the story of the birth of England and King Alfred the Great.

Ash vs. Evil Dead

And finally, cap off your Friday night at 9:00pm with Ash vs. Evil Dead on Starz. Bruce Campbell himself returns in his role as Ash, 30 years after his Army of Darkness escapades as he battles a new threat.
