OnLive, which offers cloud-based gaming and computing services company, has recently launched CloudLift Enterprise that will address the needs of graphics hungry applications.

CloudLift is a new cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) which will let companies to stream "latency-sensitive Graphics Intensive Applications (GIAs)," like interactive demos, 3D programs and more via cloud to nearly any compatible device.

"Using CloudLift Enterprise, businesses can deploy the most complex, latency-sensitive, compute-intensive applications and GIAs to mobile or office-based workforces in just four weeks. This is achieved using OnLive's class-leading streaming technology and cloud-based servers, so the user experiences a high definition 'Feels Like Local' level of interaction over open networks, regardless of the device or location," per OnLive.

The company claims that there are virtually no security risks as the service leaves no trace of sensitive data on a client device. OnLive says that no application code actually leaves the data center. Moreover, the company indicates that the latest CloudLift Enterprise service offers 100 percent safety against software piracy. The end-user support for CloudLift Enterprise is supposed to be extremely simple as well as centralized.

OnLive's CloudLift Enterprise can be used via nearly any network and supports an array of smartphones, tablets, laptops (both Mac and PC).

OnLive says that the regular portable devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops have very limited CPU and GPU processing speeds and lacks high memory availability, which makes it difficult to run demanding applications seamlessly. CloudLift Enterprise comes to the rescue and securely streams high-definition applications without affecting the performance of a user's device.  The streaming technology can be used over Wi-Fi and 3G. The technology can run on Android or iOS devices.

The CloudLift Enterprise platform keeps a check on network conditions very regularly, including packet loss, and adapts to the pixel stream to offer an uninterrupted video and audio streaming to end users. The high-definition streaming is also made possible in network bandwidths of 2Mbps.

CloudLift Enterprise can provide solutions to many industries that rely on GIA such as aerospace, automotive, engineering, healthcare and many more. Hardware constraints will no longer be an issue for on-field usage of high-definition programs.

OnLive offer multiple hosting options that are best suitable for business needs.

"This can be a fully managed and hosted solution on OnLive's network of security-audited data centers, in a major public data center or cloud provider, or even on-premises," per OnLive.

OnLive is still to confirm the prices for CloudLift Enterprise services.
