Dutch company TRNDlabs just launched the world's smallest drone, a tiny gadget called the SKEYE Pico Drone that costs just $49.

The impressively compact SKEYE Pico Drone from TRNDlabs measures just 0.87 x 0.87 inches (2.2 x 2.2 cm) and weighs 0.25 ounces (7 grams), but it has plenty of oomph for such a small gadget.

The SKEYE Pico Drone boasts Ready to Fly Technology (RTF) and three levels of sensitivity, which allow users to easily control the drone even in the tightest spaces. The three adjustable controller sensitivity levels are Beginner, Mid-Level and Headless Mode.

The gadget further comes with a six-axis flight control system, as well as adjustable gyro sensitivity, which enables it to move easily and extensively, not just hover vertically. The SKEYE Pico Drone can spin, flip, do aerial dives and even go on epic journeys at night, thanks to its built-in LED lights.

The SKEYE Pico Drone package includes the drone itself, a control that can also house the drone a USB charging cable and an extra set of four rotor blades. According to TRNDlabs, the gadget is ready to fly straight out of the box.

"The SKEYE Pico Drone is the smallest drone we've ever made and also the smallest drone in the world," TRNDlabs boasts in a new press release on Monday, Sept. 14. "It is so small, it can easily sit on your finger and fly on precision controlled exercises into the narrowest of nooks! The drone is designed to be taken everywhere and fits inside of its own controller."

The tiny drone operates on 2.4GHz frequency and has four channels, but it won't fly for more than a few minutes on a single charge. More specifically, the SKEYE Pico Drone takes 30 minutes to charge and can last for roughly seven or eight minutes of flight time on its 3.7V 80mAh battery. The controller, meanwhile, requires two AAA batteries (not included in the package). Users can remotely control the SKEYE Pico Drone from a distance of up to 50m.

Interested customers can now purchase the $49 SKEYE Pico Drone directly from TRNDlabs. For more information, check out the product videos below.
