Earlier this week, Apple released its first ever Android app, Move to iOS. The app looked to make it easier for Android users, as the name suggests, to switch from their Android devices to an iOS-powered device by simplifying the transferring of data from an Android phone or tablet to an iPhone or iPad.

The app was met with disdain by fans of the Android operating system, with the app's official listing on the Google Play Store bombarded with one-star ratings. The low ratings were not due to the app's functionality, but rather because of its purpose in trying to convert Android users to iOS users.

While some of the comments on the one-star ratings are very funny and witty, a pair of developers have come up with a snappier response to Apple's Android app.

Welcome the Stick with Android app, which was developed by Jonathan Schiffner and Matthias Miro.

The app, simply put, is a useless one, but it is extremely funny as a snarky response to Apple's maligned attempt to sway Android users to move to iOS.

Once the app is installed and opened, users will be greeted with a single button that is displayed on a background that is colored Android green. The button features the text "Click here to stay on Android," and once the user taps on the button, the message becomes "Congratulations, you did it!" And that is all there is to the witty app.

Even the app's description is pure genius, and it plays on Apple's posted description for the Move to iOS app, which is posted below:

"Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android."

The description of the Stick with Android app, on the other hand, reads as so:

"Everything about Android is designed to be easy. That includes sticking with it. With just one step, you can keep your content automatically and securely on your Android device with the Stick with Android app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before sticking with Android. The Stick with Android app securely keeps you away from switching to another (worse) platform."

At the time of writing, the Google Play Store listing of the app has already garnered over 5,400 five-star reviews despite lacking any form of functionality. It seems Android fans appreciate the humor of the Stick with Android app.

The Move to iOS app, on the other hand, has already received over 27,000 one-star ratings at the time of writing. In addition, it has been discovered that the app is a copy of a previously released app on the Google Play Store, namely Media Mushroom's Copy My Data. The Move to iOS app retains the entire code of Copy My Data and simply adds Apple branding and updates the user interface.
