The Galaxy S6 may not have the fancy curved side display that it's more flamboyant brother, the S6 Edge, has, but if it's 50 percent off the original price, it's quite easy to get over the lack of a cruved display.

Monoprice, a seller on eBay, currently lists the Samsung Galaxy S6 for $430, which is 57 percent off the original listing. At the moment of writing, 1,501 units were sold, but the number is bound to go up since there is about 12 hours more until the deal closes.

Note that the listing is for a brand new Samsung S6 SM-G920i 32 GB version that comes in either gold, black or white, depending on the buyer's preference. Based on the model number, G920i, this device is region-locked to South and North America and will only be compatible with network carriers within the said regions. As with everything, however, there are always workarounds.

So why is it a good deal?

For $430, buyers will be getting a 5.1-inch 4G LTE capable Android smartphone. S6 also packs the same Exynos 7420 octa-core SoC as the S6 Edge, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage space, 16 MP main camera, 5 MP front-facing one and a native 1440x2560 resolution on Quad HD Super AMOLED display. Hence, it's basically the Galaxy S6 Edge - just without the edge.

Other offerings in the same price range include the Sony Xperia M5 E5653 and the ASUS Zenfone 2 Deluxe. All of the mentioned phones are roughly the same size as the S6. And while the Zenfone 2 is noticeably bigger at 5.5 inches compared to 5.1 inches of the S6, all three have the same 32 GB of storage capacity and 3 GB of RAM as Samsung's handheld.

Monoprice will also chop prices off casings, chargers, connectors, power banks and a portable Bluetooth speaker by as much as 50 percent when purchased with the S6.
