Turing Robotic Industries (TRI) announced on Thursday its plans to launch its second series smartphone, the Dark Wyvern, which will be available with the industry's first 5G WiGig 60 GHz high-speed data transfer solution.

The new Dark Wyvern flagship phone will be equipped with TRI's Wind Tunnel 60 GHz data transfer technology in the form of a WiGig-enabled Turing Armor protective case.

"We are committed to the WiGig future and to heterogeneous networking and have been working on making it viable for our customers since early 2015," said S.Y.L. Chao, CEO of TRI, in a statement. "Our WiGig-enabled Turing Armor will allow users to easily backup their phone data in minutes using a Wind Tunnel USB stick connected to a PC or Mac."

The technology can transfer 3.2 GB of data in just under 25 short seconds. It can also back up 64 GB in less than eight minutes.

The Dark Wyvern smartphone comes in a dark gray color of the mobile device company's signature Liquidmorphium unbendable material, which is stronger than steel. While it's the first to have the 60GHz configuration, it will have the same feature of Turing Robotic's Series I devices, the same chip platform, display screen of 5.5 inches, 13MP HDR dual flash and 8 MP HDR camera, running Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Dark Wyvern with Turing Armor WiGig case will have 128 GB of storage, a 3000mAh battery, Micro-USB port and 3.5mm built-in earphone jack.

Customers who already have the Turing Phone may request an upgrade to the new smartphone.

Pre-orders for Dark Wyvern and Turing Phone with WiGig Turing Armor case can be made on the company website starting Thursday, September 24.

The new Turing Phone retails for $999.
