Watching NBA hoops can be euphoric at times.

Whether it's seeing James Harden cook up a defender on an isolation, DeAndre Jordan going airborne for a dunk within the Los Angeles Clippers' vaunted Lob City attack or Anthony Davis posterizing yet another victim in the paint ... these are the moments that make NBA fans truly love the game of basketball.

Five days away from the highly-anticipated Sept. 29 release of NBA 2K16, 2K attempts to package highlights like those together in its new Momentous trailer. The three-minute clip features some of the aforementioned highlights as well as the little nuances of the game that make basketball so great.

With this footage, 2K captures everything, from fans' rabid foot-stomping involvement to team camaraderie and even subtle keys to the game, as seen with sharpshooters like Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal, Atlanta Hawks' Kyle Korver and San Antonio Spurs' Danny Green curling around screens to get open for three-point attempts.

That's as beautiful to watch in this gameplay footage as it is to see NBA MVP Stephen Curry and Harden dance with their ball-handling skills, before pulling up for a jumper, or Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Randolph pound the paint in the post with his brand of bully basketball.

The trailer even shows customized handshakes between teammates — like that of the Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James and Iman Shumpert — as well as individual player celebrations and squad benches erupting after a big shot has been made.

The fact that all these wrinkles and facets will be available to eager gamers in five days should have them almost drooling to get hold of this title. Laying it on so thick ... 2K isn't playing fair at this point.
