In the Marvel universe, Spider-Gwen has become something of a phenomenon. Not only has she inspired scores of cosplayers, but she also recently got her own re-launched solo comic book series that comes out next month as part of Marvel's "All-New All-Different" promotional campaign.

Spider-Gwen is actually Gwen Stacy, one-time girlfriend to Peter Parker. However, in Spider-Gwen's alternate universe, it's Gwen that gets bitten by the spider that results in obtaining those infamous wall crawling super powers.

In both The Amazing Spider-Man films, Emma Stone portrays Gwen. So what if Stone got the chance to play a different version of that character and could become Spider-Gwen instead?

Not only did Vulture ask that question, but it also asked video artist Alex Coulombe to imagine what a trailer for Spider-Gwen might look like with Stone in the leading role.

Here's Spider-Gwen in all her fake trailer action glory.

Coulombe used footage from Stone's previous appearances as Gwen in The Amazing Spider-Man films and adjusted the dialogue from Spider-Man's story so that it fit a Spider-Gwen plot. The trailer shows the angst we associated with Peter in those films as now belonging to Gwen.

However, Coulombe still needed shots of Spider-Gwen in action: that's where cosplayer Julianne Cancalosi came in handy: she not only put together a Spider-Gwen costume, but also acted as Stone's Spider-Gwen stand-in for the fake trailer.

The result is a movie trailer that many audiences would probably like to see, especially since Marvel or DC hasn't released a female-led superhero film yet. And, unfortunately, we still have a few years' wait time for female-led films by those two companies: DC's Wonder Woman doesn't see a release until 2017, with Marvel's Captain Marvel following in 2018.

However, Marvel hasn't yet announced plans for any other female-led movies, so Spider-Gwen fans will have to settle for this. However, there's still that new Spider-Gwen comic book series to look forward to with Marvel promising that the series has a lot of action, as well as familiar characters from the Marvel universe.

But that's not all: because for the holidays, Marvel decided to go all out with Gwenpool, as in Gwen becoming Deadpool, who gets her own Christmas special comic book in December. The character started out as a variant cover, but was so popular that Marvel wanted to release something else featuring her.
