To show support in the fight against breast cancer, HTC has released a pink version of its flagship One M9 smartphone that is now available in the United States.

The pink One M9 is being offered by HTC as a contribution to Breast Cancer Awareness month, when companies that support the cause use pink to signify their involvement.

The pink version of the smartphone comes in two variants, with the first model having a plain back and the second model having the pink ribbon of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation printed on the back.

The price of both models of the pink One M9 is $649, and it is available through the United States website of the company. Customers that purchase the device will also be able to receive credit worth $100 that can be used in the Google Play Store and a Dot View Ice case worth $50 for free, for a total of $150 in free stuff included in the purchase of the pink smartphone.

The pink One M9 will be available to customers until Oct. 31, so users that are looking to grab the device have the whole month to think about whether to purchase the smartphone or not.

HTC also said that it is making a donation of $25,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. However, it was not specified whether the company will be donating a portion of the proceeds of the sales for the pink One M9 to the foundation. There is also a portion on the website wherein visitors can make donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

"Through this partnership, and with your help, we can take one step closer to eradicating breast cancer," HTC said in the listing for the pink One M9 on its website.

HTC offers free ground shipping for the device, and will have the offer posted until the end of the month or until supplies run out.

Customers that already own the HTC One M9 can also enjoy a 30 percent discount on pink cases for the smartphone.

It should also be noted that the One M9 is only compatible with GSM carriers, meaning that the smartphone will not work with either Verizon or Sprint.
