Construction workers — or any blue-collar trade workers, for that matter — are going to love this.

On Tuesday, Jabra introduced its Steel Bluetooth headset, one that's specifically designed for rugged working environments and is slated to hit stores Nov. 16.

Dubbed as Jabra's "toughest" wireless headset ever built and equipped with a five-year warranty, the Steel is dust, water and shock resistant to U.S. military standards, offering pristine call quality, even in noisy construction zones or similar working environments.

In fact, the device — just 10 grams — has noise-cancelling technology, which isolates your voice within noisy areas. It also offers up to six hours of talk time and 10 days standby time.

Jabra says it extensively surveyed the needs of upwards of 1,000 trade workers to meet their needs with the Steel headset, which the company maintains will keep its top-notch call quality even during aggressive winds or while covered in dirt in the midst of the most-demanding jobs.

Part of the Steel's testing process had Jabra doing everything from dropping it onto hard surfaces to conducting water, paint and dust tests, as well as extreme dips in temperature and high-vibration or squeezing areas — all conditions a construction zone or similar working environment might present for a trade worker.

"The Jabra Steel is for anyone that does not sit at a desk but still needs to take important calls, as the next contract opportunity may not call back," Darcy Clarkson, the head of Jabra's Mobile Division, said in a press release statement. "We know that a specific headset for these kinds of situations is in demand, as standard headsets won't address the challenges of rough conditions. You don't worry about breaking your hammer when you are using it, and you shouldn't have to worry about your wireless headset."
