Thursday night's episode of Heroes Reborn was kind of a doozy, wasn't it? After five long episodes of the miniseries, we finally found out what the catastrophic event is that the heroes are trying to prevent, the villains are trying to make happen and those of us at home are thinking would be pretty terrible if it actually occurred IRL. Look away now if you don't want to see some MAJOR SPOILERS.

A major wave of solar radiation is heading toward Earth, which would wipe out 96 percent of all species on the planet. If you haven't figured this out by now, the EVOs are apparently the only people who can stop such a disaster from happening, while people like Renautas' Erica can't wait to watch the world burn.

But have no fear, because Hiro Nakamura is finally here. It looks like the arrival of Hiro, one of the most beloved characters from the original Heroes series, will finally happen in next Thursday night's episode of Heroes Reborn. Noah has been searching for Hiro for a couple of episodes now to try and help him better understand what exactly went down on June 13.

A new promo for the upcoming episode makes it look like we get regular Hiro, who seems to be on good terms with Noah, but future Hiro seems to also make a comeback. He says the line, "It's good to be back," in the promo, which makes me wonder if he's been off into the future this whole time and maybe knows the outcome of this ball of fire heading for Earth.

This impending doom also means the EVOs are going to need to band together now more than ever, which is exactly what's going to happen in next Thursday night's episode. The promo also shows Miko and Ren teaming up with Noah and Quentin. The title of the upcoming episode, "Game Over," makes me think it's going to be an important and potentially detrimental one for Miko, who has a special ability that transports her into a video game.

Tommy, who learned that he was adopted in last Thursday night's episode on top of finding out that it's his destiny to save the world, will have to figure out how he can live up to his calling. Knowing how things usually turn out in Heroes and Heroes Reborn, I'd say there's a good chance he'll eventually get there.
