A couple of days ago, Motorola and Verizon announced a press event on Oct. 27 where the Droid Maxx 2 and Droid Turbo 2 are expected to be unveiled. More recently, Qmadix, a company that is known for the handheld accessories it makes, posted images of the Droid Turbo 2 enclosed in black and white variants of its X-Series Lite casing and screen covers.

Qmadix's uploaded images of the Droid Turbo 2 confirms the previous leaked pictures of a handheld, which were purported to be the Motorola Droid Turbo 2. The renders that gadget accessories company posted also seem to validate the rumored front-facing camera equipped with flash. The front-facing speakers, which are aptly spaced, were also confirmed thanks to the uploads.

The screen size is quite tricky to gauge without any point of reference, even with Qmadix's posted images. However, if the rumors hold any water, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will have a 5.5-inch QHD display set to a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution.

Moreover, Droid Turbo's successor is speculated to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, a 3GB RAM, the option of either a 32GB or 64GB internal storage, 20 MP main camera and a decent 3,760 mAh battery pack.

When released in the US, Motorola's Droid Turbo 2 will be exclusively locked to Verizon and will not be available through other competing carriers. Note that this is the same agreement that Verizon and Motorola came up with when the latter released a 3.7-inch Droid in November of 2009. It was Verizon's response to the iPhone 4's initial exclusivity for AT&T's.

For releases outside the US, however, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is not limited to a single carrier and is expected to follow the same regional release pattern as its previous offerings.
