Back in September of this year, Micromax subsidiary Yu claimed that it was on the verge of launching the most powerful smartphone ever created. To help back up that claim, the company has since showed off a teaser image of the handset that it is calling, the YuTopia.

According to Yu, the handset will come with a full-metal body as opposed to plastic or sandstone cosmetic designs. So far, the official motto is, "R.I.P. Plastic and Sandstone, True Power Lies In Metal." That's some fighting words from Yu, and it should be interesting to see if these words hold true in the months to come.

Yu also calls the Yutopia "The Real Beast" to help sell the idea that this smartphone is the most powerful of them all. However, if rumors of the specifications are real, then Yu could be in for a world of hurt.

The rumors claim that the Yutopia is powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12.1. This is a fork of the Google-made operating system, so interested parties should not expect to come across any form of Google apps in this smartphone.

As for the internals, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipsets is expected to be the heart of the Yutopia. The screen should be a 5.2-inches 1080p or QHD display. Expect up to 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM to ensure things perform as smooth as possible.

Want to take great photos? The Yutopia might launch with a 21-megaixel camera at the rear and an 8-megapixel camera at the front for taking selfies and making video calls. Connectivity wise, expect this metal monster to launch with Bluetooth 4.1, 4G LTE, GPS, and dual-band WiFi 802.11ac.

Overall, we're not fully sold on the idea of the Yutopia just yet since it is not the only device coming with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The 4GB RAM looks great, but all-in-all, we'd prefer to see the handset in action first to decide if it is indeed, a beast.
