Microsoft will release Rise of the Tomb Raider on Nov. 10, the same day as the launch date of Fallout 4. Aside from Halo 5: Guardians, the upcoming Tomb Raider title is one of the most popular titles that's exclusive to Xbox One.

At first, going against Bethesda's much anticipated game this year seems a little risky, but Microsoft's head of marketing for Xbox games, Aaron Greenberg, explains why the tech firm is pushing the plans through. In an interview with Kinda Funny Games' Tim Gettys, Greenberg points out that the "challenge is that you have to look at the production schedule."

Greenberg continues to explain that if Rise of the Tomb Raider was released two weeks earlier, it will go against Halo 5: Guardians, and if it goes live a week earlier, it will go against Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Also, if the Tomb Raider title goes official a week later, it will be up against Star Wars: Battlefront. Lastly, releasing the game near the end of the holidays could prove to be tricky, according to him, as customers may not have the money to spend on another title by that time.

However, the Microsoft representative is not suggesting that Fallout 4 is easy to beat. He is saying that the Rise of the Tomb Raider and Bethesda's title are two completely different games, so they won't exactly be pitted against each other.

"We felt like the Fallout audience and game, while both fantastic games, they're not direct competitors per se," Greenberg continues to say in the interview.

It looks like gamers will be pretty busy starting from the end of October to November, as big titles will be rolling out. Halo 5: Guardians went official Tuesday, and it will be followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on Nov. 6. Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider are slated to launch on Nov. 10, and Star Wars Battlefront will follow on Nov. 17.
