Back at E3 2015, Microsoft made a huge announcement: Xbox 360 games would soon be available on Xbox One as part of a new backwards compatibility program.
For the first time in a long while, Microsoft had the upper hand on its competition: while Sony was busy backpedaling, Microsoft confirmed that gamers wouldn't have to pay a dime to play their older games on newer hardware. As long as you still had the disc or the download on your account, you were good to go.
Now, just a few months after the program launched, Microsoft already has a sizable library of Xbox 360 games available on its latest console. Sure, not all of them are classics, but quite a few of the 360′s best games are already available on the Xbox One — and more are being added on a regular basis.
