You can still extend the Halloween spirit or get in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them party by channeling some Harry Potter vibe with the ability to cast spells using your Android phone.

And how exactly are you going to do that?

Simple. You can enlist the help of Google Voice to throw some magic about with your phone serving as your wand. To do this, you should first trigger the voice-activated assistant with the Google spell known to all, "OK, Google."

Thereafter, you can say, "Lumos!" and you will get your flashlight open. Declaring "Nox!" will promptly turn the light off. Unfortunately, executing the "Silencio" spell will not shut anybody up as was the case in the Harry Potter universe. It merely mutes your phone's alert and notifications.

The small dash of magic in Android-powered devices has been introduced in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures to promote the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film. It is already available, and there is no need to download any update. Users can try being a wizard this November, when the film finally opens in theaters.

Aside from the spells, Google will also let you use Maps' Street View to around the 1926 New York, the period when the Fantastic Beasts storyline happened.

"Fans can visit MACUSA (Magical Congress of the USA); Steen National Bank, where Newt first meets Jacob Kowalski; the underground speakeasy The Blind Pig; and the magical apartment of Tina and Queenie Goldstein, two of the film's key characters," Google explained.

Daydream View VR owners will also be able to dive into this magical business upon its release next week with VR wizarding content. One could, for instance, poke inside Newt Scamander's case, which houses a tremendous array of treasures and tools to cast spells and hunt for monsters. Here, instead of the phone, you can use the VR controller as a real wand that can spew magic in virtual space. Google said you could even help Newt find monsters before they harm the city.

Google also promised to release Fantastic Beasts offerings the entire month of November. These include the Fantastic Beasts sticker pack for Google Allo. Even YouTube will be treated to the same magical extravaganza with popular creators publishing contents inspired by the wizarding world and Newt's extraordinary adventure.

If you want to follow Newt's footsteps and hunt for monsters on your own, you can start by using Google Search. Google assures you that fantastic beasts search entries will surely snag a few magical results.
