With the arrival of iOS 15.4, Siri got a new voice for American users. Before this update, Apple's digital assistant received two new voices. Apparently, the Cupertino giant has no explanation as to why it added a new voice.

Still, it's interesting to know that the company could unveil more versions of it in the future.

iOS 15.4 Beta 4 adds a new voice for Siri which is intended for American users.

Just a quick recap, when Apple released the update for the iOS 14.5, it brought notable improvements including changes in the emojis, iPhone unlocking, and various Siri voices.

In the same update, the tech titan also mentioned that the AI voice assistant will no longer rely on its default female voice. Instead, the user will be given the new options which voice type to select.

"We're excited to introduce two new Siri voices for English speakers and the option for Siri users to select the voice they want when they set up their device," Apple noted in a statement via 9to5Mac's report.

In addition, the iPhone maker pointed out its commitment towards diversity for its products and services.

The newly-released Siri voice was dubbed "Quinn," as spotted by MacRumors contributor Steve Moser, iMore wrote in its report. This will now be the fifth voice that was introduced for English-speaking users.

 

Before "Quinn" came out, there were already four voices for Siri that US-based users can utilize. Over time, Apple keeps on delivering updates to improve the quality of the popular personal voice assistant.

iOS 15.4 Beta Siri Bug

Per Tech Times, Siri users discovered that there was a bug that was affecting the digital assistant. The report also added that it's been bothering the people for a while since it could "store" recordings.

In response to the issue, Apple said that the Siri bug first came out in iOS 15 which specifically tackled the sharing of dictation recordings with the company. The iPad creator guaranteed that it won't work anymore and the recordings will not be relayed to Apple following a fix.

To note, the firm highlighted that it now halted the reviewing of the recordings. All the kept audios will now be deleted from the affected devices.

iOS 15.4 Anti-Stalking Alerts

Based on the description on the setup screen, users could now locate the AirTag through Find My network. This also means that tracking people without their consent is unlawful from many parts of the globe.

Apple clarified that there are repercussions to the violators who would use these tools in stalking. Previously, the company said that the upcoming update will have a warning for all users who will engage in illegal activities.
