PS5 restocks remain irregular this month and the minor drops proved that US retailers are reserving their supplies for some time.

According to the latest report, Target is expected to release the new batch of PlayStation 5 units on Friday morning, Apr. 15 since it has not dropped any stocks throughout the week.

Could Target finally drop PS5 stocks this week? A reliable source says it's possible.

In a report by Tom's Guide, reliable stock insider Jake Randall tipped that Target could potentially hold a PS5 restock on Friday, Apr. 15.

Aside from sharing that the retailer will drop some units, he also teased that Sony is expecting to release a major update for its console in the next few days.

Originally, previous reports indicated that Target might be dropping sometime on Wednesday or Thursday from 7 AM to 9 AM ET, but it did not happen as expected.

This might be the case of another delay that the retailer has issued to pave the way for more grace periods in the actual restock date.

Moving forward, Tom's Guide wrote that Sony is now urging users to sign for the invite-only PS5 event. Although you are not guaranteed to snag a single gaming console, this method could give you a chance to obtain one through your email.
