Is it weird to see a Galax RTX 4050 box during the launch of the RTX 4090 GPUs?

Seeing a box of the RTX 4050 at a Galax event seems weird, especially if Nvidia announced that the RTX 4090 GPUs are the only ones it will launch soon.

At the time, the said graphics cards were available for pre-orders, as Wccftech reports in its latest story.

As much as people want to be excited about this leak, the RTX 4050 box is somehow questionable. Many wanted to confirm if the circulating image of the packaging was real or not.

Possibly, the photo taken at the Galax event could be real, yet the box might be misleading the viewers into thinking that what's inside it is a new GPU.

Another thing that could have happened is that Galax only used the mock-up box as a setup to attract more viewers in a Southeast Asian country.

Techradar writes in its latest report that if you look closely at the box, there are hints that are illogical to the leak posted by TheBloodNinja on Reddit.

The tech site adds that if the RTX 4050 is inside the box, it should match all the logos on the packaging. The fact that it's being taped suggests that it's only for Galax display.

Just a Galax Present

The rare sighting of the RTX 4050 box might excite the nerves of the fans looking for the new GPU release. Although this leak is tempting, there's a possibility that it's just a mistake or the other way around-- a Galax employee could most likely toy with it.

In another report by Videocardz, it was confirmed that the controversial box was just a gift at the Galax event.

Rumored AMD Radeon 7000-Series

Meanwhile, a Bilibili leaker revealed last Thursday, Oct. 13, that AMD is preparing to launch the upcoming Radeon RX 7000-series GPUs based on RDNA 3 architecture.

According to the Chinese tipster ECSM, the product launch of this graphics card will kick off in November. However, it will be officially launched in December.

Regarding its rumored performance, the leaker said it won't be able to match Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4090, which is the fastest GPU to this day.

Those who are waiting for the alleged launch of Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards might be forced to buy the GeForce 4080 next month because of the long wait times.

While the previous leaker claimed that AMD would commercialize the rumored GPU in the next two months, another tipster from Twitter believed that the company should launch it at an earlier date.
